The lake is widely known for its spectacular turquoise colour and beautiful mountain scenery. Lake Louise owes its vibrant colour to fine rock particles called rock flour, created by the shifting of the Victoria Glacier. These particles are suspended in the glacier water and reflect the bright turquoise colour.
Lake Louise is an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise with trail riding, hiking, canoeing, rafting and mountain biking in the summer and in winter months the Lake Louise ski resort is the major attraction with its world-class ski runs and fresh powder slopes! The perfect retreat for a relaxing vacation or an outdoor adventure!
