Highlights Include:
  • Bow Valley Parkway - The Bow Valley Parkway offers many opportunities to see wildlife on the way to Johnston Canyon.

  • Catwalks - Steel walkways have been built into the canyon walls, providing breathtaking views of the gorge below.

  • Canadian Rockies Geology - Learn about the formation of the Rocky Mountains and how water gradually creates features like the Johnston Canyon over thousands of years.

  • Lower Falls - Gain a unique perspective on the Lower Falls from inside a natural cave feature.

  • Upper Falls - During the winter, the Upper Falls turn into massive ice columns - keep an eye out for ice climbers!

* Participants must dress in warm winter gear (ie: ski suits, or wind-proof shell over layers including fleeces and or sweaters), insulated winter snow boots (preferably above the ankle), and winter head/hand gear.
