The Athabasca River originates 100km south of Jasper from the glaciers of the Columbia Icefields. The river was used extensively by fur traders between 1810 and 1860, and has been designated a Canadian Heritage River. Your trip today will provide exceptional views of the Rocky Mountains and sport some lively rapids. This is great fun for the entire family!
