Canmore to Banff:
Leave Canmore, travel 23 kilometers (15 miles) west on the Trans-Canada (hwy #1) to Banff. Take the first exit to Banff, stay in the right hand lane, and follow the Lake Minnewanka Loop signs, 15 minute drive from the Banff townsite.
Lake Louise to Banff
Leave Lake Louise, travel 55 kilometers (35 miles) east on the Trans-Canada (hwy #1) to Banff. Take the second exit to Banff, stay in the left lane, and follow the Lake Minnewanka Loop signs, 15 minute drive from the Banff townsite.
Calgary to Banff:
Leave Calgary, travel 110 kilometers (68 miles) west on the Trans-Canada (hwy #1) to Banff. Take first exit to Banff, stay in the right hand lane, and follow the Lake Minnewanka Loop signs, 15 minute drive from the Banff townsite.
Jasper to Banff:
Leave Jasper, travel 227 kilometers (142 miles) south on the Icefield Parkway (hwy #93) towards Lake Louise . Take ramp onto Trans-Canada (hwy #1) and head east towards Banff, Take the second exit to Banff, stay in the left lane, and follow the Lake Minnewanka Loop signs, 15 minute drive from the Banff townsite.
Edmonton to Banff:
Leave Edmonton, travel 264 kilometers (164 miles) south on Hwy #2 towards Calgary. Once in Calgary follow Hwy 2 (Deerfoot trail) to 16th Ave west (Trans-Canada Hwy, hwy #1). Follow the Trans-Canada 110 kilometers (68 miles) west to Banff.
