The Banff Gondola is located at the base of Sulphur Mountain at the end of Mountain Avenue in Banff, Alberta in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. The town of Banff is a short 1.5 hour drive west on the Trans- Canada Highway from Calgary and about a 3.5 hour drive south on the scenic Icefields Parkway from Jasper. The nearest International Airport is located in Calgary, Alberta.
Once you have arrived into the townsite, the Banff Gondola is a short 2.5 kilometre (1.5 miles) drive from downtown. Located beside the Upper Hot Springs - a short 5 minute drive from downtown. If you require just transportation, contact the Town of Banff for transit information to Sulphur Mountain. Provided year-round, please call (403) 762-1215 for info. Taxis are also available at any time of the year.

Lake Louise to Banff
Leave Lake Louise, travel 55 kilometers (35 miles) east on the Trans-Canada (hwy #1) to Banff. Take first exit to Banff and follow the road to Banff Ave, the Banff Gondola is located at the end of Mountain Ave, beside the Upper Hot Springs.
Calgary to Banff:
Leave Calgary, travel 110 kilometers (68 miles) west on the Trans-Canada (hwy #1) to Banff. Take first exit to Banff and follow Banff Ave, the Banff Gondola is located at the end of Mountain Ave, beside the Upper Hot Springs.
Jasper to Banff:
Leave Jasper, travel 227 kilometers (142 miles) south on the Icefield Parkway (hwy #93) towards Lake Louise . Take ramp onto Trans-Canada (hwy #1) and head east towards Banff, take first exit to Banff Ave, the Banff Gondola is located at the end of Mountain Ave, beside the Upper Hot Springs.
Edmonton to Banff:
Leave Edmonton, travel 264 kilometers (164 miles) south on Hwy #2 towards Calgary. Once in Calgary follow Hwy 2 (Deerfoot trail) to 16th Ave west (Trans-Canada Hwy, hwy #1).
